FS: Gift Cards... I dont want them

Hey I have some gift cards from gap, oldnavy, and jcpenny. They are all $20 except for the JCP which is $15. I was wondering if anyone wants them. Basically you trade me $20 and I'll send you guys the gift cards (oldnavy / gap). I'll send it over in the mail like regular letters and stuff. My friends doesnt want it becuase they got some on their own too so i was wondering if you guys want it.

Reason: i want to save some cash up for something

I am 16 by the way.

---------- EDITED -----------
Only post here / comment if you really go to the above store and buy stuff. Since you are going there and buying something, mind giving me the cash and I'll send you the gift card instead. It takes only about 1~2 days for it to reach you if you are living in the US.

If you guys want proof about the stuff, I will be happy to take some pics and screenshots on the website to show how much they are!

I'll do that later; my dad has the digital camera.

I might take the old navy one off your hands but I'm not paying the amount of $ that's on the card I'll give you 50% of what's on it...

I hate to burst your bubble but most of the $20 cards go for only $15 they loose their worth.

Thats not the point..your the one selling them and if someone wanted them and would pay full price then simply go buy it and use it as a gift or whatever..your the one who posted he wanted to get rid of them but for full value?? What is in that for the buyer? I hope you see my point as there are lots of stolen and bootleg gift cards sold all over even at those face values and I have seen most at 50% face value...

well its like turning you money which can be used just about anywhere into money that can only be used in one place. i didn't mean to be rude i need money too.

sorry for being rude or w/e! I have recieved them as Christmas gifts from Aunts and Uncles. These are not jacked just to let you know.

i think what they are all trying to say really is that say i had $20 and wanted to buy something why would i mail you the $20 and wait for the giftcard to show up and then go to the store with the $20 gift card when i could save time and just go to the store with the $20 and buy what i need that way.

in other words you have to make there be a reason for someone to want to buy this other than the fact you just want cash (ie. ill sell you this $15 gift card for $10) also many places are now chargeing "mantainace" fees on their gift cards where if you dont use it with in like 60 days they automatically charge sat $1.50 per month against the card untill the value reaches $0. which an other reason selling gift cards might be difficult

You still don't get the point do you? NO ONE WILL PAY HOW MUCH MONEY IS ON YOUR CARDS that would be freakin retarded - I can take my $20 and go to Old Navy and buy what I want instead of waiting for you to ship the card (which I don't know if you would anyways, there's always that danger, b/c I doubt you have any heat)...

I guess it's because you're 16 that you don't understand they teach you bullshit in hs now anyways...

I made my offer I actually shop at Old Navy and I'll give you $10 for the card.

okay....first of all, are people, like gator09, in that of a rush to buy clothes? I DO GET what you are trying to say but i really want the full amount of the gift cards back. Gator09 can you just chill. These gift cards will only dwindle down to zero after a year if you are not living in California (we have a law that doesnt let the company charge maintenance fee) but if people like gator09 that buys it, who is also in a rush to get some clothes, won't need to worry about that. What is up with the age discrimination, gator09? I am not going to trade the oldnavy gift card for $10, I could accept it being $1 less at the maximum but 50% is just trying to rip me off. I am not trying to rip anyone off here; I am able to prove the gift cards value and will promise to ship these. Apparently though, promises wont do any good because you apparently think im scamming you guys and a dumbass teen.

dont' assume he thinks that way and 50% isn't the normal going rate...its more like 75-80%. I have purchase in the past best buy gift cards that had a 200 dollar value for 175. A 20 dollar gift card could be sold for like 16-17, its just that simple.

If you want the cash that is what you will have to do, becuase no one is going to buy them for face value.
i think your better off trying to return the cards to the stores

people lets give this guy a break
Ya Kaltek is right try to return them I doubt you'll even get the $16 or $17 I don't see any offers as of yet besides mine that is.

Most of the auctions on ebay for gift cards take a 15-20% hit off the value of the card.

I think the only exception is if you have one from a retailer that the buyer really wants. Say for example a gift card from the Apple store, those will come close to the value of the card.

Ya he can get 15%-20% off the price but then also pay the annoying ebay fees etc. I think we should just let this sink...
