Screen is perfect, no lit pixels, no dead, stuck pixels.. looks perfect and frankly im not running test to find anything lol. I started up 3d mark 03 and the screen automatically adjusted this time.. before..on the last two I had, I had to manually lower resolution for it to run..Running tests right now at stock, although at this point i dont know what the stocks are. Help me out people i haven't had a ATI card in six months. Im only comfortable with radlinker but I am having memory lapses on how and where to get it. Unit came with Radeon x800 M28 Ddriver 8.082..

After running 03 3 times to get it nice and hot, highest temp reach was 66c...Keep in mind this is stock and not a over clock..soon as someone tells me where to get what i need i'll do the test for you guys if you want it.. For power, so far ATI.. for rendering, i'll still go with Nvidia... I noticed 03 looks much smoother on nvidia..Atleast I don't recall seeing the little jagged lines on the 6800...might be something different drivers would solve..Another of those ati quirks im atleast use to from past experience heh..

Try to compare some of the FPS in some of the latest games to the 6800!

Oh, goodie... This gives me hope since I'm awaiting a replacement for my 9860 as well. I think I shipped mine back exactly a week after you, so maybe my replacement will be in soon.

Here's hoping my screen is as pretty as yours

Thanks Coolhand...
Ok according to Radlinker, my stock settings are 339/326

According to PCtorque's review of this card it should come clocked at 400/350, I wonder why yours is clocked lower.
The 6800go was downclocked from factory as well. Doesn't surprise me that these are as well. I dont know if this will work or not but you can give it a try. ATItool http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/

synergi,

any chance i can get the mx800 bios from you? you can easily dump it using atitool (http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/). once installed, go to settings, miscellaneous, and there's a 1-click dump bios function.

we're trying to unlock more pipes on the mr9800 in the dell xps/i9100 forum and the mx800 bios will really help us out. and there's a good chance we'll be able to apply our work and unlock 4 more pipes in the mx800 thanks.

I still need to do a few more tests. Luke if your reading this I think this ones my keeper hehe..

Im getting a nice cool 43-45C Idle..gaming..right now i've only played SWG...not really a power hogging game.. tomorrow i'll test EQ2 and see what the rendering looks like and what kind of heat I get but i think this one will be ok..

Thank you PCTorque, Thank you Sager, I am a very happy camper

Syn,

Just curious. What BIOS revision does your replacement have? "B", "C", "Other?"
