Configuring Dimension 8400 for RAID

Thread Starter
I'm thinking about throwing another disk in my 8400 and enabling RAID 0 for a little more performance. Supposedly, RAID is supported directly by the mobo and I just flip a switch in the BIOS to set it up. But I noticed on some of Dell's RAID-configured systems, they include a "RAID cable."

Is there any special cabling required for RAID, or do I just hook up two regular SATA drives and enable it in the BIOS?

you just need two sata cables , and two hard drives, ive got two 74 gig raptors in raid 0. enable it in the bios and configure it there . but when you load xp you will need the raid drivers on a floppy. best to download them from dell first !!
