Ordered a 5500 on 1/19, and STILL suck in Phase 1. And this is after 2 different calls to AW Sales Agents to see if anything was holding up the process. According to them, everything is in order, but for some reason no one seems to know why my order isn't moving along. "I'll make a note in our system--check the Order Status page tomorrow and you should see some movement with your order...if not call back." And it never moves the next day.

Argh. And I'm paying with a danged AW credit card, to boot. You'd think they would have at least "received payment" at this point, eh?

Don't rely on the order status page for up to the minute info on your system. They update it when they can, but I'm sure its not their first priority.

I was in phase 1 for quite some time too, but once my payment was recieved, my order flew. Just be patient. It'll be at your doorstep before you know it.

Thanks for the reassurance...hope you're right.

Called AW again this afternoon (as the guy I spoke with yesterday said to call back if there were no phase changes today), went through 2 different reps and on hold at least 3 different times, but apparently my notebook is being worked on.

Guess I'll just have to bide my time and wait it out...

According to the website I have been in phase 3 for 2.5 weeks but when I called today they told me I was in phase 12 and should ship tomorrow afternoon. Basicly what I am saying is that website is by no means reliable and I would take any referance to it with a grain of salt. I know it sucks but all you can do it wait like the rest of us.

iTS A LIVING HELL ISNT IT! I am a instant gradification kinda guy. I usally by locally and pay lots of extra $$$ for it just to not have to wait a few days for shipping. Or if i order osmehting i always pay for overnight. I pay dearly for the monkey on my back of instant gradificaion. I am lloking at my AW experinance as a learing experiance, learning what it is like to HAVE TO wait.

I hear ya, the website iisnt a totaly reliable site, yesterday I checked my status online and It said I was on phase 6--So out of couriousity (for no backorders) I called AW and the nice guy told me that the thing was in production and ready to be shipped either that afternoon or this afternoon so I did a little dance..and now im impatiently waiting!

I know it's been said in the forums here many a time before, but I'll go ahead and reiterate: what's the purpose of the Phase page if it isn't at least semi-accurate? Obviously, their order tracking/processing system has the info in there somewhere, as the AW phone reps can pull up the correct status when you call...so why can't they integrate part of that db into their web status page?

I'm sure it isn't easy, as if it was there'd be no reason why they wouldn't already have done it. Now don't get me wrong...I don't mind waiting...it's just that if I'm made to wait I'd kinda like to be reported accurate information about my order status when I request it on their website. Is it really too much to ask?

You to! - I checked today & after a 3 month wait here in the UK, I'm now on Phase 9!!! - - now comes the really impatient bit....

How is things in the UK I am thinking of a 7700 for my boyfriend who uses this forum, he is a long term Alienware lover.

Whats the phases like for us UK people who seem to be the minority here. :P
