the video card on my desktop is messing up... a geforce 4 4200ti by asus. I get little sparkly dots over every 3d application, they are more noticable in somegames than others, but you can see them if you look hard enough. Also, in some games, not all, the 3d is messed up where things render in all kinds of different ways. 3dmark 2001 the car in the first test is stretched all over the place and runs through a couple mountains that are stretched in its way heh. In 3dmark 2003 the first test runs fine, get 140fps+ and cant really see the little dots, everything renders ok, then the second test I get 1-2 fps, everything is rendered wrong. I hate it. I tried the latest detonator drivers, the previous version, as well as the asus drivers, no luck. I reinstalled windows, no luck. I put the card in my other desktop, exact same problem. /sigh. It was working fine for 5 months, I guess maybe the 110 degree heat wave here in texas might have fried something on it, I dunno. Anyway, gettign an RMA from newegg unless anyone can think of anything. Just weird to me that it dosent render everything wrong, for instance I can still play RTCW:ET just fine, no rendering mistakes, only a few little snowy black pixels now and again flickering on and off.
