I'm jumping in this thread 'cause I wanna hear the answers too. I can't find much info or examples on tweaking Mobility graphics cards. I installed the Tweaker and via OC I'm running core at 258.75 and memory at 200.25. Core is unchanged from original, memory was 180. Frankly I don't know enough about everything else to fiddle with it much. I was getting some (plenty) pausing in games (GTA III, MOHAA) so I've been looking for solutions. Frequently I was bumping Direct3D and OpenGL towards the Performance side. Now I shut off all non-essential apps, reduce Res to 1024x768, and lock and load. I think it's a life's quest. TBC.

EDIT: There are a few other threads here about Rage3D and OC'ing.

For the records, my numbers are:

Core Clock : 258.75
Memory : 360

These are stock values (ones that were delivered with my 8887). I use the "configurations" already provided with the tweaker and they help.

I also have a link that explains the different parms. Only thing... it's in French

Is that Memory: 360 the DISPLAYED setting in Rage3d tweak, or mentally doubled from what is displayed (such as 180)?

As I noted, my "stock", displayed settings were 258.75 core and 180 memory (which would "double" (DDR?) to 360).

In other words, is my memory setting abysmally slow? Should I bump it to a DISPLAYED setting of 360 (and stand by with a fire extinguisher)? Thanks for your input.

These are the values as displayed by RAGE3d. I also have the latest s-seven drivers and since those drivers were installed the system is very, very stable (also have HT enabled).

Thanks. Odd that my memory number displayed so low (as in one-half)! There were some other posts\threads herein awhile back that implied the memory was displaying SDR as opposed to DDR values.

I'm running the OmegaCorner Cat3.6s, with the stock ATI Control Panel, and Rage3D Tweak (3.9 I believe) on top of that. I need to study my guides! Perhaps I can get Google to translate the French guide when I get home from the corporate environment.

I presume you have the M9 chip in a fairly recent Sager? Thanks again for the feedback.

This post, amongs others, talks about it, and says yes, Rage3D Tweak should be displaying DDR. I am severely underclocked. Something to play with!! (Carefully.)

So TWEAK shows my stock memory at 180, which is supposed to be a DDR display. I had bumped it to 200. From these posts I thought I should be getting 360 or so. I bumped the registry setting to allow the slider a higher range. However, when I bumped to as little as 207 or more (209, 211) I immediately got line traces on my desktop background, so I bumped it down to 204. S'wierd. I'm hoping an upgrade, sooooon, to M10 etc. will cure things. I did check the memory sticks and they seem to be proper (2 each 512MB at 266mhz, according to the stickers) as well as seated fine.
