interesting gimmick, i'd say. i could not go without the "feel" of the keys under my fingers. Would be OK if you're a hunt-n-pecker, but you can hunt and peck on the PDA on-screen keyboard if you've had too many bong hits and cant get yourself to memorize where the keys are under your fingers.
They had one of those available from a different company for Pocket PCs about 6 months ago, it got bad reviews though because you really had to be accurate while you "typed." Your fingers had to make a distinct up and down movement. But that was 6 months ago, and that isnt for Pocket PCs so it may work better!
yeah that thing has actually been out for years! but it never caught up cuz i heard it really sucked as in u'll get alot of typos. I guess they didn't exactly tweak out everything, maybe when it gets better it'll catch up. It is also weird not to feel the keys while typing.

This will only work through a serial connection. Last I checked Dell was doing away with the serial connection on some models.
Although if you have Bluetooth it might still work for you.
