Firmware goes where in Gentoo?

Dear Friends,

In the midst of a gentoo build -
sage 5680

I need to stick the firmware for the prism54 driver somewhere. Does anyone know where to make the directory to stick the isl file in?

I know the debian tree well, but the gentoo is slightly different, and hotplug does not seem to build the /???/???/hotplug/firmware, if indeed that is even basically where the card would go.

Gentoo may have a totally different place for it, but the driver is built in to the 2.6 kernel, so all I need is to copy the firmware somewhere.

Thanks.

Best,
M
