Plea for XF86Config-4 file and fglrx setup in SuSe 9.2 64bit

Thread Starter
Well, I screwed up the fglrx installation once, so far. And I am pretty sure that I am gonna do it again. I need some help. Anyone w/ a 4750 successfully install it, and how?
Is it possible that I could use your XF86Config-4 file?

Man, I'm tired.

wbeck,

Nope I've had no luck and the posts I've read on Suse specific help boards were from Suse users who also had little luck with the new ATI drivers.

You might want to look at this thread and see if it helps you:

There are several other posts on different Suse help boards but as I'm at work I don't have the url's easily available. Post your progress - maybe I'll give it another go over the weekend.

You might also want to check this site's forums - I've found many Suse Answers here in the past.

How about just going to the suse ftp site and grabbing their customized build.

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/sup.../fglrx/8.8.25/

they do this for every fglrx release...

I didn't have any luck with that driver either although I've not honestly had much of a chance to futz with it.

wbeck, if you get the driver from Suse working post here - I'll try it again after the LAN party I'm attending Sat but don't have time until then.
