Selling my 3 week old Area 51-m 7700 asap - Page 2

I went and configured one online like yours DJ and it was $3400 !!!

So even if u were willing to take 3 grand for it, a brand new 9860 would still be a better value. Yours doesn't even have a TV tuner or a builtin wireless antennae or an X800 card.

Sorry DJ, but Lexxter is right, its just not worth it. Your best bet is taking the 15% hit or risk it on Ebay. For some reason some people (idiots really) take a bidding war personally and will do whatever it takes to "win".

Goodluck w/ whatever your choice is.

well the fact that the warrenty is not transferable and that you have to put a price below what you've paid makes the money loss inevitable. It was said many time that RMA, even with the 15% restocking fees, was the best choice since you'll avoir scams and all troubles that you'll encounter with board/ebay AW sells.

like lexxter said, there's about no way you can sell it over 85% of the original price especially since the warrenty is not transferrable. When you sell a new product, you'll definitly lose some cash in the process... it sucks but it works like that unfortunatly...

your situation sucks tho... having to sell a brand new awesome lappy must be a pain in the butt...

Yea Guys I understand the price drop in the eye of a buyer, Id want to pay less too, But in the eye of a seller the thought was disapointing. But for some reason god smiled upon me today. Alienware has agreed under my circumstances to fully refund my money - the shipping, wow I know when I get the money together again I will come back to alienware.

I am a realtor in Vegas, so if you need assistance with finding a place to rent, I may be able to help you or give you some free advice.

As for Renal failure, she can bounce back. My dad did after two days time.

Don't be TOO impulsive, though it is good you are willing to make a large sacrifice.

Warranty is worthless as it is not transferable so when you figure the loss of that minus all your sending back and the 15% you will loose anyway....no matter how you look at it, its "used" goods..ever hear the new car driven off the lot and then is worth 25% less even with less than 20 miles on it? It is just that it is "used" and not "new" so I think Ebay might be a better risk if you have exceeded the AW 30 day policy...nice lappy, good luck and I am sorry to hear abt your grandmother
