rofl... I hate politics, but I love helping uninformed people

You tell me which review site looks more realistic on their reviews and ratings:

Listed above are all companies that do not pay reseller ratings or farm their customers to reseller ratings and it reflects in their score. I listed the above names because I figured they were companies many of us know and need not question how legit they are.
Many of the resellerratings scores show 2 out of 3 people upset about their purchase and if this were true there's no way they would still be in business.
Why does Alienware, Dell and everyone not sue to get removed? Because resellerratings falls back on the listings not being their responsibilityand onyl there because of their members putting them there.
Here's a couple quotes from their site:
Quote:
| ALL ENTHUSIAST, INC. SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERRORS, OMISSIONS OR TECHNICAL INACCURACIES IN THIS WEB SITE. |
All Enthusiast INC is the company in charge of the site and making money off the companies that are paying them to handle their accounts.
ahhh, here we go, in the merchant faq:
Quote:
Q: I want my company removed from the site.
A: We did not add your company to the site (one of our registered users did) and therefore we do not remove companies from the site except in very few extreme cases. If you feel that you have some kind of circumstance that we should know about, justifying the removal of your company, please let us know. |
Here's a link to the $59/mo account package you can sign up for if you're a reseller:

Notice, if you get a fake review on your account they hide it for 48 hours and remove it within 48 hours so nobody sees it. If you get a less than perfect review, you also have 48 hours to *work* with the customer (smooth talk, free carrying case, shipping refund) and make it a 10.0 before anyone ever sees it. If you do NOT pay them the standard time is 14 days a fake review can sit on your account and make your company look sub par. So, considering a company has no choice but to be listed, if they want to look as good as their competition, they are going to have to not only be as good as them, but also pay reseller ratings. Now you know why some companies don't want anything to do with it or bother trying. I'm not saying paying them gives you a 10.0, but it sure helps and without a doubt even companies listed, one paying one not, the paid one will have a much better chance of a better rating. Do fake reviews make it through? YES, we've been bashed by competitors, former forum members, and just plain haters that never even bought from us. All you can do is request it be removed and they eventually get around to it. Why don't we just pay them? I've been advised by many to do this, but I just don't agree with it. If I was that type of person, these forums wouldn't be as successful as they are.
What the smaller companies do is send out an email to their customers a few weeks after purchase… you know, how’s it going, how’s the product, I love you, you love me. If they get a positive response back such as ”thanks again for everything and the laptop runs great!” They will then ask that person for a review, no reply or less than enthusiastic, they don’t. That’s farming customers and what happens. Another thing I bet many didn’t know is another Sager reseller famous for their 10.0, one of their employees is a good friend of the owner of reseller ratings and even worked with him on the site before changing jobs.
So, quick run down:
No we don't pay reseller ratings, no we have no choice to be listed there, no we don't like how it's set up or agree with it, yes we do think it's a good tool vs not having anything to go off of, and no we mean no disrespect to anyone. We're just sharing the facts, truth, and information as it's been presented to us since the topic of our resellerratings was brought up.
As for the shipping:
If Sager EVER gave priority on another reseller to ship an identical order to ours that was in the system first, we would be looking for another distro. Variations in the order can change the date orders ship, the shipping dept can screw up and an order could get held back. A system designated to fill an order may fail testing and also be held back. There are many things. From what I can tell all the major Sager resellers submit orders to Sager very quickly so no matter where you order, it will not likely have anything to do with your shipping date unless something unexpected happens.
Am I going to catch hell for this post? Yes, likely, but like I always tell Laura "If there is a Hell and I end up there when I die it sure won't be for lying".
