Dell's are very good in my experience with notebooks... have owned several in my time. The last one I got was the Dell Inspiron 8600, and it is a nice powerful lappy that is not too bulky... and a lot cheaper for the specs and support than most other brands. My only complaint with it was that the chassis colour combo was a bit off-putting.... but the new Dell models being released are sleek.

I have a friend whos old toshiba P4 lappy died and he needed a laptop as soon as possible for work...I urged him not to get a DEll, but he did anyways. some P4 variant....He hates it and is debating sending it back...even though it is a HT CPU, he says that it performs WORSE than his old non-HT puter should have listened and gone with one of Sagers pre-built models....geez....
