The reason there is no Dell desktop thread is because this is NotebookForums.com. The reason why there is an Alienware Desktop thread is because there were enough people who wanted it and whined enough and misplaced their questions about them that they just added the section. There is no Dell Desktop section because there has not been that large of a need for it, yet.

I think he just wants to show of his XPS4 which is OK.

Also it is nice that you had 7Gs to pump into the economy too for two TOP DROOLING rights systems(your good to go through 2007 btw).
Believe me I have done my share of pumping over the years also.

Enjoy every day with those babies !!

There’s really, really, no need for a separate desktop section, as with a little innovation you can do like I have and then happily post here instead.

Designing and building the special folding trolley that carried my desktop box, 20” screen, fold-out keyboard tray, modem nest, 5-way power adaptor, and 5.1 speaker system wasn’t really the problem. Neither was the 20 mins it took me to fold it up, secure it, and pack away into the car each time I travelled (and of course the 20 minutes at the other end to un-pack it and set it up).

The real trick was remembering to put diesel in the portable generator, as every time I forgot this, my battery life went down to about 2-3 minutes under a processor-intensive load.

Of course, I have now had to put heavy-duty springs on the Car to cope with all this, and after 6 months at the Gym pumping Iron I can now confidently move everything without slipping a disk.

And there you have it. With a little ingenuity you too can have the ultimate portable Dell system – with no need for a separate forum section.
