Well, I'm that
To give you a little background on my situation, this is the third SXGA+ 600m screen that I've had. The first two had bad pixel issues outside of the normal standards for Dell LCD's (I found out 10 bad pixels is supposedly their limit.) These LCD's did not
have the horizontal lines problem.

I've gotta disagree with this. I'll explain below...
Fast forward to today... After numerous problems with my 600m (mainboard, hard drive, and 2 bad LCD's), I negotiated a system exchange with Dell. The new system seems to be running a lot better, with the exception of the screen, which has the horizontal lines issue that redgtxdi has documented here. It is the exact
same problem, only my screen is SXGA+ instead of plain XGA. Now Dell Support has stopped returning my calls, and I don't think it would do that good even if they did return them seeing as redgtxdi got his back w/o repair.
In short, I've seen good 600m LCD's and now I have one that has this refresh problem. Since Dell Support has deemed these displays as "in compliance", I'll probably be forced to sell the unit on eBay (with full disclosure of the problem, of course.)
Good luck to those who are still battling with this.
