I have an 8003 right now too, but at this point I would not buy it again with some of these other notebooks out right now. No problem, just that for about $100-200 more than the 8003 you can get the 8103, which has better specs in almost every aspect. Get the 8003 if you want SXGA+ and not WSXGA+.
Well the lcd screen on the 8000 series (just like most other SXGA+ screens) sucks! No point buying an expensive laptop if it is not pleasing to your eyes.
I own the 8006..well, used to..now it's with Acer because it just burnt out...twice..got a flashy white screen n it would not start anymore..instantaneous 'heart attack'..ahha
I'm not discouraging you...i like the unit..that's why i'm not letting it go yet, eventhough it gave me probs..at least it let me finished far cry n HL2 before burning out on me...
