I have DELL Inspiron 5100 and Pre-n Notebook Network Card: F5D8010.
When I have the card in during boot it will freeze right after the XP loading progress splash is displayed. If I have it out while booting and just wait until after I am in XP, as soon as the card is plugged in the mouse cursor freezes, keyboard is locked out, applications stop.

I run dell hardware diagnostic utility (the last downloaded version) with PCMCIA card in the slot and got follow results:

Results of test:

Revision: 4t;
PC Card Power: NOT ACTIVE;
PC Card: PRESENT AND FULLY SEATED;
PC Card Condition: BUSY;
Disable/Resume Resetdrv: NOT ACTIVE;
Automatic Power Switch: DISABLED;
PC Card Power: DISABLED;
Card Status Changed Interrupt: DISABLED.

I have tried two identical PCMCIA cards - result is same.

I also found that if I disable 'Texas Instruments PCI-4510' adapter in Device Manager - OS does not lock up.

The power light on PCMCIA card has newer been on.

I do not sure if this is related but I did not found pcmcia service running in the Services list.

Any advice will be appreciated.
