>>>700M glossy screen:Need opinions ASAP<<<

I just found out that the 700M has a glossy screen. I ordered one for my boss yesterday. I did this before I found out about the screen being glossy. Someone that has one of these, or someone that is "in the know", please give me the pro's and cons on the screen. Since I just ordered the notebook Thursday evening, I could still cancel the order if need be.

Indoors it looks brighter at my dimmest setting than some laptops at their brightest. The glossy screen adds vibrance and depth to the colors.

The only con is outdoors with the screen dimmed it is difficult to read sometimes. The right angle can fix the problem.

I love it, it gives it a high quality, classic look.

As you say, it's glossy. I had three laptops in the last 6 years and this screen kicks ass. The contrast is the best I have ever experienced with a LCD. Reflections are not that bad and can be avoided.

i think it is awesome. I even noticed that it supports a high refresh rate than my 9100.

AFAIK, all Thin-Film-Transistor LCDs are locked at 60Hz.

I'm using my 700m outside at this moment with the sun shining directly on me which would give the maximum glare back on the screen and I can still read everything just fine. If I had a conventional non-glossy screen, I probably wouldn't be able to see anything so yeah, glossy = good.

I think all laptops should come with this GLOSSY screen. Kicks ASS!

it is better outside than my last non-glossy lcd...let's face it, all LCD's outside suck ass...at least the glossy one lets you look at yourself and see how pretty you are with the sun glistening off of your hair...

I expected to get atleast 1 bad review of this screen. But hey! Thats great!!! I guess I will let the order stand. I am looking forward to seeing this thing now. I hope to have it by next Friday. I got it maxed out. My boss is going to love it. Now maybe he will stopp eyeballing my 9200.

It's a glitch in the video software, mine reads the same but LCDs can only refresh at 60Hz.

There are lcds that can display above 60 hz though, but i guess not this one.
