Find a college student to buy it with their discount. AppleCare is a retail boxed package with an activation key. Anyone can buy it. Once you get it, the registration process asks for the key and your serial number.

$350 is the normal Powerbook price. My school bound friend bought it for me for $220. I can accept $110 a year for an extended warranty a bit easier then $175.

If you buy with an Amazon credit card though, they'll take off $30... So that brings the price down by about .0003%... (so, it is something to think about).
