Sold my compaq x1030us, because I wanted a smaller notebook and something with a dvd burner. I've read the numerous posts in the archives regarding this machine and would just like some final help from some owners, my only concern is the heat/fan issue. I can accept some heat, curious just how hot this machine gets. Also read some complaints about the noise of the fan, curious how big an issue this is, I plan to watch a fair amount of dvd's on it and would like a quiet machine. I'm not too concerned about the newer model with a better processor, all I'll be using it for is dvd's, music storage, web, email....thanks for any help
