Pentium III, 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 14.1" screen, 20 GB HDD

CD-ROM, 3.5” floppy, laptop bag, mouse, mouse pad, 56k modem

Windows XP Professional

Battery life 45 minutes


what say u people, should i or shouldnt i.

I think that's a good price for what you are getting. If you really can't wait a few more months for an AMD machine then i saw go for it. Battery life is short though. Maybe because of the old battery. Up to you if you plan to be mobile or need a desktop replacement.

Also you can check out the auctions at ebay and see what the notebook is going for.

u mean that this notebook will be a DTR?

I'm just asking if the bettery life will be an issue. Will you be mobile, taking the notebook with you everywhere running of the battery. Or will you just keep the notebook on your desk and plugged in.

I'm in the same position as you, waiting for an AMD64 with PCIE to come out. As for me i've decided to wait. My current computer is slow but i can live with it. It really depends on how badly you need something.

that battery life is because its an old battery, a t21 should be getting 2-2.5 hours from a new battery

hmm.. i guess u use it usually in ur dorm???

if u r, i dun htink the battery would be much problem..

i only use my T42 in my room, i just use the mains for power supply...

and since its locked using a kensington lock, i'm lazy to bring it out to use...
