Does anyone know where I can get a copy of a service/repair manual for the Tecra 9000 (in .pdf format).

Thanks.

they don't have tecra 9000 schematics.

other schematics costs like $15 or so each

i found some other sites selling the same FRU manual for $3 -$12 which is free and found in many sites.

member efrant posted he had to buy it and it is in a cd.

it is long time back. that is why i tried requesting him

probably it has schematics for tecra 9000

efrant does not seem to be active here now

what else can be done?

How different would the 9000 be from the 9100???

Laptop Disassembly Tips  is the same as Field Replaceable Units guide

which is available for tecra 9000 also.that is only how to remove and replace units.

it would not say what is wrong with any unit.

We have a few posts somewhere from a member linking to a site with schematics.

@ Saugen - do you have a reference to it somewhere?

If you have done some googling, how's about letting us know what you have tried...if not, give google a shot

I believe the member tried them all Gene. It's the (circuitry) schematic for motherboard and power supply that the member needs. I have the link to the schematics but it is on the machine in Hamburg sad.gif Will see if I can get someone to shoot the bookmarks over

Wow!  that is wonderful qhn if you have that it will save my tecra 9000. i am sure it has a problem of power supply ready signal problem.

the bios wont just start.prior to that i had a cap shorted in the power supply[switch] board..

we cannot just find the fault without knowing what voltage is expected at the regulators and when they are switched on

hope i may be able to make it work :) i have 30 yrs of electronics hardware experience.

while it was working i have changed it's hdd and cd drive just 2 yrs before it failed

thanks qhn

yes i have tired it all in the net including downloading 15gb of toshiba and found nothing to help me :(
