Hi folks,
I have one of the many Clevo D470V based laptops (Promedion D470V) and I have a BIOS issue.
My system came with a 1.00 version BIOS, and I have issues such as: a) the keyboard occasionaly freezes, b) graphics do not restore when the notebook goes to powersafe, c) annoying loud beep everytime the notebook boots, etc.
After reading this forum a bit I thought I'd just do a BIOS flash and my troubles would be gone.
However, when I want to flash I get a warning:
"Part ID of System BIOS and new Image File are different (system = 40U, file = 40V). The System Platform may be different from the Image file. Are you sure you want to proceed?"
Of course I answer this with "No" but that does not make my issues go away.
Does anyone know if Clevo actually has a 40U platform? I think it's kinda strange because it says D470V *everywhere* on my system, just the BIOS is 40U. Maybe it was flashed wrong to begin with in the factory?
Any suggestions are appreciated!
