Uggg!!!

I'm getting the "W4554" LG. Hope it's not so bad that I have to return it. Wishfull thinking but will they make you return the old one before they send a replacement?

My item number for the wuxga is the same as jack_butlers 320-3901 - I very much wish for the y4014 display ... anyone her who got a y4014 could check their item # in their order information page ?

I realize it is possible that the displays have the same item number, but want to know - maybe i can make a change if necessary before the system is shipped ...

OMG, the Purolator guys are so dumb. The delivery guy made a second attempt at 7:30 pm (after the first attempt at 5:30 when the office was closed...)

.. oh wait! It just arrived!!!

Pre Production?

I'm new and came on here to see what ppl think about this 9200 thing.

I ordered mine on Thursday of last week and every day have been on the Dell website and it's in 'pre production' They've had two or three working days now to start to make it, but it seems like no progress is being made! I want it as soon as I can! The decision was forced on me cos I bought loads of games which simply won't play on my three year old desktop with its old graphics card. I also asked her about the display and she replied saying the display would be 'perfect' So does anyone know:

How good Dell are at meeting their 'estimated delivery dates' (which is next monday!) and;

Are Dell fitting the improved Samsung WUXGA LCD screen as standard or might I get a dodgy one? Am a bit worried about this, cos I do loads of work on Word and obviouly that has a White background.

Kramer,

I called and got my service tag #. From there I followed these instructions from LeeU (thanks Lee):

"Once you have your service tag go to "manage my systems" and load your new computer as one of your managed systems then you can pull up the service tag and you will be able see which model LCD your getting."

Mine should be here in about an hour... feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning!

i got the 17" wxga+ w5411 and it's amazing.The size of the icons is perfect,no problems so far!

Wow.

Ordered my 9200 on Thursday Feb 3rd in the afternoon and it shipped yesterday. UPS scheduled delivery TOMORROW!!!

*praying I don't get the crappy screen*

i tried to get my service tag through email ... well, that didn't work the answer was that i will know it when i see the sticker on the box !!!

Got mine a few hours ago. Loving it so far. I can see the "screen sparkle" that people talk of but it's not enough to turn me off to the machine. No dead pixels... sitting in my living room surfing the web wirelessly... love it!!!

It's Shipped!

After all that waiting and wondering, I checked it this morning and it said it was 'in production' then this evening I get a mail saying it's shipped! I guess it will be here on Friday or Sat!

How do you get the service tag now it has shipped?
