Trying to install 100GB Hard Drive - Page 2

I was going to get a 100gb drive but then decided that I would rather have an external drive to share between comps and also keep a lot of free space on my laptop. Lately I was constantly deleting things to make room. I had under a gig left.

So I went out and bought the Maxtor One Touch II 250gb firewire external drive.

This thing is great cause I just dump everything on it. Its a bit bigger and heavier than other externals out there (Iomega) but It runs and looks good.

WOAH, WOAH. I get the same thing! Are you using the modular enclosure to boot from? This happens to me when I boot from the cloned drive that is in the modular bay enclosure and the primary drive isn't present. If I insert the primary drive in, it boots just fine from the modular drive (and the problem dissapears after that I think). This isn't a problem with your 100gb drive because I cloned a 40gb to a 60gb drive. And I'm not sure it is Ghost's problem either. I use Ghost but mostly True Image. To see if it is Ghost that's causing the problem perform the cloning using true image. Download it here:
