Its digital in the sense that u have to press fn+f5 or f6. Same with wireless fn+f8 i think.

How heavy is the beast? More importantly, does it feel heavy. Weight isn't a real concern, but I am curious. The PCTorque website doesn't list that spec for any of their notebooks...

How hot does it get when doing basic tasks? You said 40C? Most everyone else on these forums say their 9860s get much, much hotter than this. Almost makes me wonder if it's something in the ATI card making it cooler.

It was idling 40 C during the winter. Now it idles at 44 or 45 C

Hey Vrod, I didnt even know there was an ATI update coming out? I love the card right now, I'd wait until there is an update with a significant increase in performance like 512mbs ....

Yeah they are coming out with a X800XL 16-Pipes! ETA is unknown but when it does come out, I'm debating wether to get it or not. I will have to email ya since I cant use AIM at work.

Upgrade already?

Personally, I'm more than happy with the performance of my machine (except for the 'play HL2 for 10 minutes then shut off' issue). It's job is to play CS:S, CIV3, Doom3, and Vampire:Bloodlines and it does all those just peachy.

I say wait until something comes out that makes your '03 scores almost double what they are now.

i was searching these forums for how to overclock the ati mobiliy x800 and came accross your post
