Thanks Dr. Phil. That is a good article that I can show some of the other naysayers. Its like I said though, I first read about these issues from end users on HardForum and AnandTech. I've also seen some tests on the PSU's myself.
|Sadly the Coolergiant is plagued by the same problems as the Noisetaker, as it couldn’t cope with a 100 per cent load on the 12V rails, which is a real disappointment as it otherwise performed well in all of the tests. It also had a tendency to produce a whining noise from the fans and the higher the load, the more annoying the noise. Hopefully these are issues that Coolergiant/Enermax will resolve, but before this has been done there is no way we can recommend this PSU.
I think that sums it up best.
And let me say Astu, I didn't mention Forton because I completely agree with you on those PSU's. The reason I don't buy PC P&C anymore is because of the price. $240 is too much for a PSU that doesn't perform ANY better then OCZ or Fortron. Who I deam the best manufacturers. Hell you can get the same PSU from Fortron for $80 and it performs just as well as the PC P&C. And the reason I love OCZ is because of the tweakability. I love their ModStream line because you only have to hook up the connection you need, making the case cleaner. I also like that you can actually adjust your Rails to your liking. And they run quiter too.
