lol, get this, Ebay FINALLY replied to the email Luke sent letting them know the pics were ours (1 week later). They said in order for them to investigate the issue they would need to get an email from the web address they were stolen from (such as sales@notebookforums.com the example they gave us in case we didn't understand... lol).

Too bad Ebay isn't held to the standards some other businesses are. Customer service taking 1 week to give such a poor email reply to a time sensitive issue... other businesses would not survive doing this, but Ebay has no competition so it's however they want to do it

The Bidding ended but there were no bids . So if Ebay does not make him take down the pics he may lower the price and start the bidding again.

I've had eBay problems before and they've never been helpful in the slightest. I've not used eBay for quite some time now (being in Japan is one reason, but another is because you're really on your own if something bad happens). Got screwed on an auction for an Alpine stereo from a guy in AZ. eBay was ZERO help. Which is about how helpful the Glendale police and AZ Atty Gen were, but that's a whole 'nother story.

man, you guys are harsh

i didn't think it was that big of a deal to use the pics. i'm sorry. the auction is over and i'll never use your pics again. really sorry about that. i just thought it would be easier than taking my own. i didn't think it would cause a big huge thread on this forum.

sorry once again.

the laptop did not sell and no one seems to want it. this will be the last sager i ever buy.

It's extremely dishonest. You don't mention you are using someone else's pictures. It has fraud written all over it. Would you try to sell a car by finding a picture on the web that matches your model ?

actually cars are sold on the net all the time w/ stock pics. take a look at autotrader. i was in a hurry and thought it would show a good representation of the laptop. i'm extremely sorry and wasn't trying to be dishonest or fraud or scam anyone. i posted actual pics in the for sale forum.

once again i'm really sorry and hope you guys can forgive me. i've been scammed on ebay too and had my auction ended early w/ buy it now from people who wanted to send me a money order and ship the laptop to nigeria or spain. i hate scammers as much as all of you and i can assure you that i am not one. i paid 2800 for this laptop when it first came out and it was real fast but there are a few things about it i don't like. probably why they discontinued it.

Glad to see it wasn't someone trying to scam on Ebay using our pics like is usually the case when it happens. You really should read the rules of the website at least before you consider doing something like taking pictures off the website to sell something...

Quoting the rules:

I think it was pretty clear.
