Pxebooting 4780

Hi,

The NP4780 is unable to netboot. I've mailed Sager only to hear that it's
'unsupported'. The option does exist in the bios for this, however.

Is there a rational reason for having the pxeboot functionality disabled on these machines? Does anyone have a firmware update that handles this?

Does anyone know of, or know where to get the bios toolchain that is capable of altering these settings?

Thanks

Probably disabled because it doesn't work.

Well, the realtek 8169's rom (which is what the 4870 has) does have the ability to pxeboot, even the 8139 does (I'm typing this on a toshiba notbook that has an 8139 and pxeboots just fine).

Whoever burns these bios firmware images could fix this pretty easily, but as usual majority rules, and if 99.9% of people don't use the functionality, it doesn't get fixed.

I'm actually pretty pissed off about the sager bios. Like why is the bios set to
shadowed on my machine, without the ability to change it to unshadowed?
