Amd Athlon 64 Battery Life

I am looking into buying the Uniwill 258KA0 from Cyberpower (x64-9000), and i want to know how the processor will affect my battery life. I'm debating between the 3400+, 3200+, or the 3000+.
The price difference isn't really a factor. I just want to know if they battery life will be affected by the faster or slower processor, or if because they all use the same wattage, they will get the same battery life.

i think there will be a minimal diff on battery life between the speeds. my 3200+ grabs about 1h 50m - 2h doing wifi + firefox + gaim

well, if you fiddle with the voltages (i seem to tell this to everyone) it shouldnt draw much more power than a dothan/banias. Well, i suppose that is if you get a low power one. But, no, the battery life will not be affected by the clock speed. Only by the voltage that the thing is running at. And that said, you can get the 3400+ to run at slightly lower voltages than the 3200+ or 3000+ due to stricter manufacturing tolerances. Currently My 81 Watt 3200+, which normally has voltages of 1.5v (2ghz), 1.300v(1.8 ghz) and 1.1v(800mhz) is set at 1.325v(2ghz), 1.050v(1.5ghz), and .800v(800mhz) So, Yes, I do get decent battery life, and pretty cool temps too.
I reccomend the program CrystalCPUID to edit your voltages.

You probably will not get centrino battery life, but it shouldnt be too bad at all. Especiallly if you opt for the low voltage one.

wbeck, you wouldn't happen to know which voltage processor is sold with Cyberpower's Uniwill would you. Also, do you know where I could get a lappy with either the 62 watt or 35 watt version of the Athlon 64
Thanks a bunch for all your help!

id recommend the 3400+ if money isnt a factor. im using a 3000 and i guess i feel archaic running at 1.8ghz. taking notes in class with wifi will get me almost 2.5 hours, and i have an extra battery. as was said, voltage tweaks are gonna be more important than speed.
i used cpuid, but i made the switch over to RMclock.

The Arima-based laptops that run the Athlon 64 (Gateway, eMachines, Voodoo, and several others) run the 62W mobile Athlon 64. I believe that the 35W models are still unreleased.

battery life will be insignificant, at most 5-10 minutes.
