Why all the hate for the integrated graphics? - Page 3

why complain, the options are there for the needs i guess.
if u need a laptop for highend graphics intense things, ud get a laptop that can handle
that, if ur only going to be using word, browsing and drawing smileys and paste a
320x240 face of usama or whoever, a 32mb card compared to a 128mb card wont really make a difference. i guess if you live in 1/10 seconds you might notice.

my 2 pence

I don't hate integrated graphics, I just choose to spend money on discrete graphics instead.

I really am not interested any more. If you fail to listen to reason, you will be unreasonably wrong, with a poor graphics card might I add. And Like I said You want anything more than Office, solitar, and internet... leave integated craprics at the door step, no the curb. Peace Out.

Pointless, pointless, pointless. Get a laptop to suit your needs. If you don't play games or do any type of 3d modeling there is no need for anything more then current integrated graphics.

I sold my 8600 to get a 700m because although its nice to play half life 2 while i'm at school, it's extremely unproductive and I can wait to play it much better on my much cheaper desktop.

I don't play games, but I feel inadequate if my computers can't play the latest games even if I don't want to play them. I just want the *ability* to play them. You know, if I get the urge someday to play a game, I don't want to have to say "damn, my GPU can't handle it, so it's back to riding my bike or going out in the kayak for me." Games give me an excuse to upgrade my computers. Without games, I'd still be using a 1st-generation 100MHz Pentium.

So, in summary, I'd just like to say THANK GOD FOR GAMES!

Notebooks aren't made for gaming, they're made for WORK!!! Therefore, we should all crave to have integrated graphics, that way we can stay focused at word or excel, not petty games such as half-life 2 or doom 3! Now I'm sure everyone will agree with me in saying that having a seperate graphics card is like having a time bomb made of heat, its just waiting to melt all your components! Therefore the choice is clear; get inegrated graphics and get to work!!! (This message paid for by the give intel all of our money to support the infertilization of couples everywhere)

lol, you'd feel inadequate because your comp can't play a game. somethings in life are a lot more important than playing computer games. getting layed for instance.
