Extreme Fix
Hi,
Well, as i said before I had the same problem, I had Windows XP SP2 installed from a slipstreamed CD which I made for my old desktop. I recently found that the CD I had slipstreamed was not Notebook friendly as I had removed the cpu drivers and a few other things so I decided to re-install windows (well the camera wasnt working anyway). I reinstalled and ran the camera driver and it still didnt work, then i found a piece of paper saying to check what version of tha camera you have, it reconed that there is a label on the memory modual saying TAS or CAM and that you had to install the driver from the correct folder dependant on the version. Now, I couldnt be arsed taking the ram out so I uninstalled the driver and installed from the other folder (TAS) and restarted and it worked. strangly the camera appeared to be working from device manager even with the incorrect driver installed (just no picture)
anyway, I dont know if it was the windows re-install which helped or if i could have just reinstalled the correct driver in the old install but its working now and Im happy.
Now, if only i could get the AMD processor driver to install......
