Big HP Pavilion ze1230 problem power

Thread Starter
i was fixing a friends laptop, the ze1230, and i noticed a bigggg problem, you know where you take the ac adapter and plug it in to the back of the laptop, well on the laptop, the hole where you insert the ac adapter is missing the pin that goes inside, which charges the laptop...therefore no charging, no power, no laptop. im curious if there is an easy fix or of i have to buy a motherboard for an amazingly low price deal at $424 with return of defective motherboard or $533 brand new...if you couldnt tell i was being extremely sarcastic due to the fact that this laptop maybe could only sell for $500 if in excellent condition which in my case, is not in excellent condition. ANY help would be amazingly appreciated.

Easy fix... These connectors are available on E-bay for 10.00 max and you have to tear down the laptop and replace the jack.. Requires de-soldering/re-soldering. If you arent able to do this yell we do them all the time. cost would be around 129.00 total.. (connector and shipping included)..
