Bluetooth: WinXP Drivers vs. Billionton

What's your choice?

I honestly don't know what to go with. The Windows drivers have been working nicely for me so far, but now I have problems. I got a new phone just three days ago and I simply can't get it to connect to the computer. I can establish a connection and add the phone to the computer's bluetooth devices just fine.. and it seems to work fine, but I have no idea how to create a connection AFTER that's done. Where do I initiate the connection from? That's what I don't understand.. the Billionton website doesn't even have the drivers for our built-in BT cards as far as I know.. and that sucks. Windows also refuses to show the BT icon in the system tray.. even after I set the option to do just that.. and I don't know why that is.
My main problem is that I don't know how to initialize a connection with my phone. I turn on the BT on my phone and make it visible/discoverable and THEN WHAT? What do I do.. from Windows, to search and connect to the phone? That's what I don't understand..
How are you guys handling this?

I just right click the file I want to send to my phone ===> Send to ===> Bluetooth device===> browse===> select phone; Your phone will ask you if you want to accept file ===> yes; and it's done!
