I was checking Dell site for a BIOS upgrade for my D600 and I found the A15 BIOS. Despite all the enhancement, there is one NEW feature: D600 is now able to boot from USB optical drives (non Dell)!

That was exactly the feature I wanted to see and why I liked so much the Gateway M505. So I installed the system again from my Memorex 52MAXX (3252AJ) and it worked as spected!

However, my Superdisk USB drives still can't boot from regular floppy disks. Maybe if they just borrow a new Phoenix BIOS release all those things will be included...

It doesn't work either on D800 or M60...

So, I would like to ask people to write Dell and let them know that there is people who appreciates real enhancements and added features to the new BIOS releases. Maybe if we complain enough they will end enabling DDR333 support in all 'old' Latitudes
