I priced the same thing I ordered. Seemed to be about $200 cheaper. But, I wonder if you pay for it in the extra time it takes to ship to Circuit City.

I have to think that when your buying a rig that costs what these do...why in the hell would you let some $5/hr employee at Circuit Titty even open the box..for saving $200?...if the $200 means that much, you should not be looking at AW....just my opinion

I actually got my first computer AW from Best Buy, Everything went smoothly. And what was nice about it was when my Ti 4600 crapped out 6 months later, I just walked it in BB and they threw in another one. I didnt have to pack it up and send it in to AW for 2 weeks.

damn you bevis...you made me think there really were titty's here...either way i hope that the circuit city thing works out better than the bestbuy did, it is really too bad that bestbuy came to my area after they ended their partnership with AW since it would have let me see a real AW machine without having to wait till i knew people with them.

Dunno, I configured through the link and the price was the same as through AW direct. All CC offered was 6 months same as cash instead of three.

Hmmmm...can't see the link at work, but I started thinking (always dangerous!). Now that they are being sold through CC, does that mean that we get hit with state taxation laws if we buy directly from Alienware? I know that Gateway ran into that issue when they started selling through their own stores...people ordering directly from Gateway in those states had to pay sales tax.

Yuck....

Alienware should hook up with Sears. Sears would probably turn into a successful business if it had an Alienware Department.

Actually, the thought behind the Best Buy deal a few years ago was to get machines out there so people could see them before ordering. A lot of people won't order without being able to see one in the flesh.

Circuit City is more specialized than Best Buy, and their employees seem to usually know something about the product, so hopefully this will be a totally different situation.

And I say no to Sears. Sears sucks. I won't even shop there anymore after my experiences with their non-existant service and crappy product.
