I read in the phases forum that they do not deliver then. I was trying to confirm/deny that statement.

Absolutely true...no FedEx on monday, Jewish holidays or on the second tuesday of every week and this is due to worship of Testiclus, the god of all female FedEx workers who wish they were men...even though many look like they are

I concur. My shipment was actually flown from TN to AZ last Sunday evening, and now its going to sit on the ramp until Tuesday. I guess that way they are consistent with the "2-DAY AIR" designation. I imagine the only packages they deliver on Monday are NEXT DAY AIR and the like. God forbid they deliver it a little early.

I don't know what the hell happens in other places, but I have had several things delivered by Fed Ex on a Monday, and it was not next-day air or anything special.

You're missing my point. If something is shipped 2-Day Air, they are going to take 2 days whether the need it or not. Take the example below - this shipment got to my city at 00:39 and hasn't budged all day. That's because they will deliver it Tuesday and still be within the 2-Day agreement (weekends are excluded)
