Any more news on ship date? - Page 5

I dont mind waiting for my laptop, especally if Sager is going to make it better, but i do need it in my hand by tuesday. I leave for school then. So i am a little bit worried. I also need to get all of my files off my home computer, wich might take a few hours.

......I mean sometimes you just need to find a balance. If sager decides to add a new part to the 8890 everytime something comes out then the thing will never be released.

For those of you who need your laptop for school, just have the laptop sent to your dorm; just change your shipping address with Adam if you ordered from pctorque.

I can only do that as a last resort. I've got tons and tons of files to tranfer from this computer to the laptop. Sending them over the internet, or burning them to cd's is going to waste alot of my time.

B) send an email to Adam

I did (A) and figure based on the number that dyeinbreed is (44) and the time that he ordered (his wire transfer got there about an hour after me and I ordered via CC) that I'm in the high 30s low 40s.
ayasin, when was your order processed? I'd like to know where in line I am but don't want to bug Adam. I'll just guess off that.

I bugged Adam, but he hasn't got back to me. No biggie, I'd rather not piss him off, as he is the man. ; )

I'm just stuck in the same boat as the rest.

Good luck all.

Well, you should be REALLY early, like around 10... You must have ordered within the hour that they were posted!

And I was number 107,

do you think i'll be in the first batch?

Adam says PCTorque gets about 100 of the first orders... In other words, probably not. However, you should have the laptop by early September, based on the timeschedule he posted in the news forum...

Eagerly waiting..... results

Well, from my limited perspective this forum is great... I have several friends with Sagers (5660, 5670s and one 8890 ordered). I like the 5660/70 a lot and the new 8890 seems like a real beast! Have to admit that I'm waiting for a bit until they ship to see what the end result is. I've been tempted to 'settle' with a currently available 4760 or a 17" Toshiba or 16" Sony... This waiting is tough!

Anyone have feelings wrt buying a "lower end" (is there really such a thing) 8890 and putting a 3.2GHz in it later when they are cheaper? Anyone?

Any guesses where this order falls in line:
08/08/2003 01:10:18 EDT

And to kind of answer the previous post, I went with the 3.0 when I ordered my 8890...didn't think the .2 was worth the premium right at the moment. I'm just happy to have the 800fsb, 7200rpm hd, etc.

Well i was thinking there was like 2 hundred of us rushing to get our orders in on 8/7 but I guess not.

It sounds like my order at "08/07/2003 18:13:15 EDT" puts me near the top of the list.
You should be pretty high up there too... around 20 perhaps?

I got a 3.0 too... I'm happy with 800mhz fsb, M10p, and 2x60gb5400 in raid!

There were many hundreds submitted on our website, but the ones sent to Sager tagged ready are the ones that the credit card is authorized (automated from our website) or the check/wire has been received. That's when we immediately put you in line.

Adam is not kidding!

My order went to Sager on 8/11 around 2:38pm and I've been told my order number was around 80.

Adam is this the same new keyboard that has been talked about or is it different?
It's the one that has been talked about.
No one knows what number they are! I already talked to Adam about it. You cannot find out where you are in line... stop making up numbers.
