NVIDIA Quadro Pro 1400

This is my first visit and my first post. I am obviously a "newbie" since I've never heard of Sager (Except for Carol Bayer). I'm into digital video (rather than gaming, but the requirement for high performance is the same) and was intrigued by the $5K VoodooPC notebook which greatly impressed PC Magazine. Then some press release links on digitalvideoediting.com introduced me to the Alienware 7700 (?) and BOXX 2200 which seem to have the same or better performance for about $4K. Now what makes BOXX the more attractive is that "in early March" they can ship me a unit with RAID 0 5400 rpm SATA 2X60GB HD's, and with NVIDIA Quadro Pro 1400 256 MB graphics/video instead of the GeForce 6800. Alienware says these components aren't available yet.

What sage advice can someone "in the know" give me?

Those components arent available yet... at least not the quadro pro 1400. Or else PCTorque/Sager would already be offering it as they seem to get the stuff faster than most other places

I got the Quadro model wrong. It's Quadro FX Go1400. Supposedly the Dell M90 lists this too, but they don't have the 17" 1680X1050 display like the other "portable workstation" offerings.

Incidentally, has anyone used the "moon" Smiley?

Dell has the Quadro Pro 1400 available in one of their precision notebooks
Edit: Post above beat me to it (if the M90 is right)

Available for pre-order, but estimated delivery time is more than a month away, so I wouldn't say it is available yet.

Well then at least Dell buyers can pre-order it

Again I messed up. It's the Dell Precision M70. However it has a Pentium M CPU, not a P4 like the other "portable workstations." I would bet that the Quadro would enhance some critical areas of performance. BTW, the "90" in my faulty recollection came from the Velocity Micro S90.

Incidentally, the VM S90 has the 17" 1680X1050 display, P4 3.0—3.8 GHz CPU but has the 6800 graphics and no SATA drives. So far it looks like only BOXX has all the "goodies."
