Man thats a loaded lappie.. Wish i have the money.. I only can look.. lol..Its a pain seeing how much tax it is after you config the system and ready for purchase.. Wish they have this lappy over home department instead of business department.. No matter how many coupons you can come up with it.. The tax just kill it all.. I wish i can buy this over home department where no tax for me..

Thanks Xjarhed. I ordered the M70 and I was afraid I may have made a mistake in getting this machine. I don't game very much actually, but I do like Doom 3, lol. I didn't want a DTR because the battery doesn't last very long with those machines. The M70 seems to fit into my needs so I just hope that I have good luck with it!

I don't game alot either. I am somewhat new to the confuser world myself. I think we will have great luck with these machines. If you visit http://www.catiacommunity.com/benchmarks.php, you will find how the m70 compared to the m60 using the Almighty Catia V5. Did well. When did you order yours?

Yes, Don't worry, these guys are professionals (Designers/BSME's), they don't have time to waste on us, they just sent me a confirmation and I was in. Worth it. It's a big PDF

I canceled my first order and placed a new one using both 25% off and $100 off. This time I decided to go with 2 GHZ instead of 2.13 because I can't justify giving intel another 340 bucks for 130 mhz. Instead I got a gig of ram because it was cheaper to get the ram from Dell in this case with the 25% off than from somewhere else.

Bath, this laptop should be able to handle anything you throw at it, games, 3d content creation, whatever, and it will have excellent battery life and portability. It's really the only laptop that combines this level of power with portability.

XCROSS,
you should cancel again...hehe...the B/G card is free, so is the extra US Power cord and if you ask, they offer 4 years of service for 50 bucks extra...just a thought, I've read both ways regarding the FX1400, good and bad, however, no one really knows because they are brand new, no one has any idea

Kimo,
Here is the code I used earlier yesterday. They also expired yesterday, maybe Ole IRONXCROSS will share his candy. "Z0KHHK0?2ZM31X" Don't use the "" though.....Good Luck!

I would share but the coupons I had were one time use only... the 2nd 25% off one I got on ebay. And I guess I miss out on an extra power cord. Oh well... I'd rather get my 25% off than cancel and re-order just to get a free power cord :P

The 25% off expired Wednesday by the way...

It's o.k., I missed out on the 100 stackable. Didn't even know it existed, let alone i could've used it in conjunction. When I heard about the 25% off, I did a back flip and couldn't get any sleep last night. OMFG!!!! The BOSS got one as well, configured like yours

The Go1400 & the new variant of the Go6800 both use GDDR3.

Ordered it yesterday afternoon. I couldn't afford the gig of ram yet, but I opted for the 1 512 stick for now. I will be able to purchase the other 512 soon. Went for the 2.0 processor and the 60 gig 7200 rpm drive. The LCD is the wuxga. I really need a clear screen for photography and I'm hoping I get a good display.

Stupid question from a first time poster here...

My company (large by Dell's definition) just ordered several M70's for some of the engineers (me included). I am trying to understand what the difference is between the small business and large business areas of their site. Why does the small business site offere the free monitor and port replicator and the large business site doesn't? The prices on the large business site seem higher as well. What does the large business site gain you when you pay the price premium?

Thanks,
Jeff

it's probably because of company's contract with Dell. Then Dell can make huge profit from that. That's how it is.
