You guessed, called and nothing...no ship date...no info
I sent a message to alienrichard to see if he can help.

I ordered a 5500 on January 24th. The estimated delivery date was Febuary 9. There were some problems with payment (addresses & such) but after that was wrapped up, I sat in Phase 3 for a few weeks.
It was unbearable. I, like probably many of you, changed my Firefox start page to the Alienware order status page. Every day, I dreaded getting up becuase I new I'd have to face that goddam number 3 again. Until Monday.
It was a cold Wisconsin day, partly cloudy, 30% chance of flurries. Turned on my computer, rubbed the sleep from my eyes, and there it was, Phase 9. Just like that. It was like going to bed as a 3rd grader and waking up as Tom Hanks.
Imagine my suprise when today, a mere 2 days later, the phase meter jumped to 13, and then a fedex tracking number was in my inbox. Unbelievable. I'm still in shock. And it's set to deliver on Saturday. What better day than Saturday? No work, just a new national holiday, Allienware Enthusiast 5500 Day.
I guess I'm just wondering why have phases at all if they aren't going to be updated regularly? Unless my computer really did jump from 3 to 9 one day, and then 9 to 14 the next. It seems like it would save the company alot of phone calls if they were dilligent about it. Oh well, I don't run a boutique outfitter anyway.
Now that it's finished, the fear of my own "5500 Horror Story" thread is starting to creep in.
