hey are there any free benchmark tests out there? i wanna download one for my dell just to see what im up against when i get my sager..

Yes,

3DMARK2001 SE

SiSoft Sandra

PCMARK 2002

They're all shareware/free versions you can use to test with. If you purchase their pro/full versions you will get more features.

ouch, i scored 1730 on the 3dmark2001se and i scored 1574 for cpu 1132 for ram and 345 for hdd for the pcmark2002

Lol, what's the computer? I decided to post mine on the benchmark thing, but it was 10740 for a 2.4 GHz with 64 MB vid mem. Not too shabby. Then again, this isn't my computer. I'll test it on my 500 mhz 16 mb vid mem later, when I feel like becoming depressed. =P

Benchmark tests are sweet. But, to be honest, it doesn't always hold up in actual gaming. It's just cool to be able to compare with others. :-) Sagers always do well :-)
