Backpack for DELL M60, D800, 8500 ?

Thread Starter
Okay, I've got my D800 and I am loving it, but now I really need to get a laptop backpack to allow me to take it around with me at college. What are the backpacks that all of you use that fit the case for the M60, D800, and 8500?

I would like to get a Jansport one if at all possible. Do any of them fit this notebook or does the beautiful widescreen hurt that? Also, where were you able to purchase the bags from (retail maybe?)?

Thanks so much...any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Search for Neison's last thread, it had some pictures of my M60 in a Northface back pack, and it fit really easy. Good Luck, check, Moose Jaw, REI, Uncle Dans, and Erehwon

I picked up this backpack from Targus:

It's big and rugged style -- kinda like a hiking backpack, but it has plenty of room for the M60 -- good padding compartment too.

I didn't buy it from targus, if you look around online you can get it for about $60 + shipping.

I purchased this Samsonite Leather backpack for my Tosh S705 - thats a pretty large laptop and it only just fits in the laptop compartment. But this backpack has padding all over and tons of little ares for cables and such.. Ispent 2 hours trying every single laptop backpack I could find at CompUSA/BestBuy etc. and this was my choice... very well made high quality leather backpack.

CompUSA Price: $79.99
Manufacturer: Samsonite
Mfg Part #: 198111273
Product Number: 304331

I got an Ogio Metro backpack from eBags. Works fairly well although it had a smaller main compartment than what I expected from the pictures...

Someone else on the Dell forum recommended a backpack by Booq...

I recommend the Jansport Lapstation, whicha has been discontinued, or the Jansport PC port, which is the successor to the Jansport Lapstation.

does anyone know for sure if the jansport thinker can hold an 8600? I really like it but the only two places I found have contradicting sizes listed...
