The laptop in question is an IBM A21M with the 14.1" display, its a P3 700 w/384mbs of PC100 ram and when I purchased it the DVD drive and HD were FUBAR'd.
After replacing the HD and getting it to boot, it appears the screen has a loose connection, if I slightly pull towards me on the left hand side of the screen the screen brightness doubles and looks as it should. There's also a small dark haze in the lower right corner near the clock in windows that doesn't go away when I pull on the screen.
before I go ahead and take it apart, what could this be?
