Ok I have 2 9200 laptops now. One is with the wuxga and the other has the wxga+.
I can say that both of them have their pluses. Here are the pluses and minuses:
wuxga:
plus - high res, sharp image, lots of real-estate
minus - can be hard to read, sparnkle is very bad.
wxga+:
plus - clear image, almost no sparkle, easy to read, good color
minus - low res, text not as sharp
Unfortunately the latest 9200 (both from dell outlet) has one dead pixel.
Another thing I noticed is that both 9200's speakers will do a little rattling when certain notes are hit.. only perhaps 5% of all notes but at a particular frequency, I think the subwoofer just doesnt handle it properly and there is a little rattle on the left side. Certain human voice frequencies it can't handle, and wind instruments at certain levels.
If you HAVE to get a 9200 (reasons such as much better technology and other options than competitors), get the low-res version unless they're shipping only the samsung lcd these days.
I also tested the 8600 wuxga... has sparkle too. Perhaps 20% less than the 9200 but its visible, although the color on the i8600 wuxga is richer.
