zd8000 prob - need your opinion

Ok, I have had my zd8000 for 4 weeks now. On the 2nd day, the power supply wasnt' working properly, so they fed'exd me a new one. Now I notice the middle
of the keyboard is always hot so I turned it around and noticed that the middle fan isn't working. So, now I have to find a box (ruined the original one because I had to the the UPC for the damn rebate...) and pack the laptop in it and they are going to pick it up Monday.

My question is that I'm wondering if I have shortened the life on this thing because it's been running pretty hot. I've tried to play some online games and after 2-3 min, the machine has been freezing up. (due to the 3rd fan not working I imagine). So, should I just ask for a new one instead of them just fixing the fan? I paid 2500 for this thing and if I have shortened the life and it's not my fault, I should be able to get a new one. What are your thoughts?
Thanks.

You are out of your 30 day window, so odds are you are not going to get a new one. Though its 30 days from reciept not order. If you're in the 30-days return the entire thing and re-order. If that doesn't work, the fan should be fixed relatively quickly. If you continue to have issues, start demanding a new laptop.

Cool, thanks for the advice. I'm trying to give them benefit of the doubt.

Yeah every customer support breaks down after you start shouting and demanding a new laptop. LOL!

If they are selling a laptop that breaks down and overheats, then it is a problem. For $2500, I didn't expect to buy a pile of shit.

Natter try and return it out right and reorder if they wont do that as soon as it comes back start to bitch at them about heat problems and such until they give you a new one. Do keep the one you have just because the life is proable shorted already. Really sorry to hear that this happened it sucks man.
