BTW, I still have my awesome Toshiba S705 and I can safely say that (so far) this is the best piece of computing hardware I have ever purchased.

That said, it does look like the 9600 is scoring slightly higher in some benchmarks, therefore I would expect the M10-Pro to be quite a steller performer...

Now of course the S705 is discontinued ( Toshiba confirmed this ) so I have pretty rare laptop ;_

One other thing.. I also have an Old Toshiba Portege 300c ( 166Mhz P1 I think ) .. and the other day I accidentally dropped it about 10 feet onto carpet from my loft apartment.. the case cracked.. but the laptop STILL WORKS PERFECTLY.

Therefore I can say from experience that Toshiba make some darn good laptops and I would recommend them to anyone ( unless u want a 9600 -- wait for Sager! ).

Yes thats the non Pro version. STill, its very interesting to note that those scores are WELL below the scores that were given on the pre-production versions of this card.. not that it matters, but people need to be aware that you cannot make any solid judgements on the performance of a video card from pre-production hardware -- stories have come to light that those initial socres were performed on an M10 that was running 10-20% above the rated heat output for that particular part...

Gotta love those corporations

This is not taking anything away from the 9600, its a killer card and would be a great choice for anyone who wants to do 3d on a laptop - just like the 5600go
