700M Just Received

Used $500 coupon. Ordered 2.0GHz with dvd burner. Swapped out 256k and for 1GB ram. Put in 60GB drive instead of 40GB. Installed MCE Win XP Pro. Installed all drivers from Dell site.
Initial observations:
1. Very nice screen and light weight.
2. Keys are smaller than ibm's. Will take a while to get used to.
3. Not as solid as ibm but much better than older Dell's.
4. Where's infrared to sync with smartphone?
5. Using usb mouse. Will not get used to trackpad having used trackpoint for so long.
Overall very happy with purchase.

^^thank god there is no IR port...can't remember how many lappies i've had to unlock b/c somebody's tv remote locking the lappie up...just wish the damn combo 802.11n+bluetooth mini-pci cards come out so i can sync with my motorola razr without having to use a stupid cable or bluetooth thing sticking out the side like the damn usb mouse
