2005FPW Non widescreen games (IE KOTOR2)

I'd like my character to not look like he has a big old ghetto booty in Knights of the Old Republic 2. Unfortunetly I'm stuck with the standard non-widescreen resolutions. Is there any way to crop to have the monitor not do full widescreen, as in have it put bars on the sides so the image doesn't look stretched? Looking at the documentation I'd say no, but figuired it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Also, any idea why most of my on screen settings would be greyed out? Can not adjust contrast, only brightness and under image settings I only have exit and image scaling selectable.

Update, found the answer I needed. Duh just have to adjust the scaling while running the game. Works perfect now.

Now, anyone want to tell me why the hell KOTOR2 won't accept SHIFT and SPACEBAR as front and backward movement?

Phos, did you figure out why most of your settings are greyed out?

No, went ahead and installed the driver off the cd, everything is still greyed out. No clue as of yet, going to dive through the dell forums when I get a chance.

The driver usually gives you an option to keep the aspect ratio. When you play widescreen games it is at full screen, but you will see black bars when playing a standard aspect game, thus no disortion.

Have you checked to see if you have administrator rights to your machine?

Open swkotor2.ini, edit width and height under [Graphics Options] to 1680 x 1050. Once back in game it will still say another resolution but it will be the widescreen res.

AFAIK you can't adjust contrast etc through the OSD if you're using a DVI connection. I use the Control Panel in the Omega Drivers to adjust contrast/colours etc.

And the image won't be stretched? If so that is great!!

Anyone know of a manufacturer of protective/anti glare screen protectors for the 2005FPw?

Thx.
