I've owned Asus M6BNE for about 7 month and it been a great notebook overall. Sometimes I regret selling it because I've been disappointed with current notebook availability and this one so far is still the best for its price/features. So here is what I think about it:
Pros
Neutral
Cons
Not much cons here, great notebook for the money if you like the looks. Why did I sell it? Well, first of all I wanted bigger screen, but decided on getting more portable laptop and desktop instead. I do not play games anymore so getting a laptop with integrated graphics cards is ok with me.
Pics? Do you really want any there is so many of them floating around anyway.
Pros
- Very quite (fan does not turn on when using battery or idles)
- Good ports placement
- Reasonable price
- Great keyboard
- Outstanding battery 4-4.5 hours of regular usage even after 7 month
- PowerGear4 is a nice software
Neutral
- Decent build quality although there were many places where the surface was not even
- Noisy DVD/CD-RW
- Decent speakers, better then most 2 speaker laptops (except those JBL)
- Did get warm at the bottom like most laptops
- 9700 w 64MB may not be enough for latest games, although I played HL2 & FarCry without problems
- 6+ pounds but still portable
- Slight flex
- I did not like the design that much, but some people call it sexy
- Resolution is not as high as some would like, but I managed to get used to it and Widescreen also became my favorite screen
- Screen is bright enough with good viewing angles, but after seeing XBrite & Crystal Clear you might get disappointed.
Cons
- Right palm rest area flexes when you put pressure on it
