I ordered an Aurora 7500 SLI pretty much loaded with dual 6800 ultras, fx-55, 2 gig corsair ram, 3 year warranty. I ordered on the 31st of january with a feb 21st expected ship date. Well, 5 days later I was at phase 4. They did not tell me about any backorders or anything of the nature until I called to see if my parts were even in. I am pretty upset that I can spend 4500 dollars with Alienware and they would keep me in the dark about the processor and the Power supply being on Back order. I possibly would have changed to a amd 4000 chip instead as it is cheaper and marginally slower. A few days later I called to JUST change warranty and the case color. I went from phase 4 down to phase 2 for an additional 3 days. I called to see if I would still get my system on time adn the rep said "absolutely, since your parts were on back order, you will not even notice that your system was put back in phases." Well what about the people that are waiting those parts and are ahead of me? I just think I am getting the run around and I spent nearly what people with the ALX have spent. I have not experienced great customer service at all. Quite honestly I have experienced teh same customer support I have received from Dell, however they shipped accurately and pleasently surprised me with early delivery times each time I ordered. I am just venting. I just really hate getting the run-around and I especially hate being told half assed answers to prevent cancellation and such.
